As long as we live, we move. Even the rhythmic flow of blood can be felt as pulse. Although the human form comes with a 'standard' set of components for movement such as limbs, the entire structure is involved in the coordination of our gestalt, in any given moment.

It takes some time for a human nervous system to learn basic movement patterns essential for survival. Moving ourselves through space, moving and manipulation objects requires the coordination of two tasks: maintaining balance and specific voluntary movement.

We learn soon after our birth first to stay balanced, helped by reflexes.
